The good news is that there are things that you can do about sensitive teeth, so that you will once again be able to enjoy the things that you love.

Teeth Brushing

In many cases, teeth are sensitive because some tooth enamel has worn away. Even though you cannot replace enamel, you can make a couple of simple changes that will protect the enamel that you do still have. Use a soft bristle toothbrush, and brush gently. You do not want to wear away more of the enamel or further damage what is still there.

Also, do not use an abrasive toothpaste. There are some toothpastes that are made for sensitive teeth, and you might want to try one. Follow package directions, because you do not want to overuse the toothpaste.

Diet
Foods that are high in acid are not good for someone who has sensitive teeth. You do not have to totally avoid them; just limit how often you enjoy them. There are some food items that you should consider adding to your diet, if you do not already eat them. They include cheese, milk, and leafy green vegetables.
